The Life That Changes Everything

"Placing his hands on Saul, he said, 'Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.'

What's the difference between knowing about God and actually knowing God?

After his encounter with Jesus, Saul makes his way to Damascus, shocked and searching. Everything he thought he knew about God has been turned upside down. Then God sends Ananias to deliver a life-changing message.

When Ananias places his hands on Saul and prays, three miraculous things happen: Saul sees the light, gains his sight, and receives God's might through the Holy Spirit. For the first time, this religious expert understands that religion isn't the way to God, it can actually become an obstacle to Him.

The Holy Spirit is God Himself, and when you receive Him, everything changes from the inside out. You discover that God doesn't want religious performance; He wants a relationship. He's not interested in your efforts to earn His approval; He wants to fill you with His life.

Religion alone never changes anyone's heart. You can attend church, follow rules, and try your best, but only the Spirit of God can transform you from within. That's why conversion is so vital; genuine change must start from the inside and work its way out.

When you receive God's Spirit, you don't just get new information; you get new life. Open your heart to that opportunity today. 

Prayer: Father, I praise You for making it possible for us to know you personally. Thank You for Your goodness and welcoming me into relationship with You. Lord, help me develop an honest and close friendship with you, not just hear about your second-hand. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
