3 Key Questions for a New Believer

June 20, 2019
Congratulations! Surrendering your life to Jesus Christ and deciding to follow Him are the greatest steps you have ever taken! You have decided to allow Him to be your personal Lord and Savior. To know Jesus and to follow Him is to have eternal and abundant life. I rejoice in your decision!

And speaking of your decision, I'd like to take just a few minutes of your time to make sure you fully understand and embrace your new-found life in Christ. Please let me ask you 3 questions, and please take time to carefully read the questions and consider your answer fully:

  1. Did you confess that you are a sinner and repent of your sins?
  2. Did you call upon the Lord to come into your heart?
  3. Did you mean what you just said to God in prayer?

If you can say "YES" to these questions, then based upon God's Word, the Bible, you can be completely sure NOW that you have eternal life!

Why?

Because God is a perfect God, and He always keeps His word. Consider these verses:
  1. Truly, truly ,I say to you, He who believes has eternal life. John 6:47 (NASB)
  2. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 (ESV)
  3. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13 (NASB)

Rejoice today because YOUR name is recorded in Heaven! Luke tells us this plainly when he writes to the children of God, "Rejoice that your names are written in heaven." (Luke 10:20 NIV)

The bottom line is this--GOD HAS SAID IT. YOU JUST DID IT. THAT SETTLES IT!

Again, congratulations on your life-changing decision. This is the beginning of your new life in Christ!
