"Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them."
Psalm 126:5-6 (NIV)
Have you ever held a sequoia seed in your hand?
It's no bigger than a tomato seed. But that tiny seed produces a tree 325 feet tall, that weighs over 6,000 tons and lives for 3,000 years. Once fully grown, that single tree produces 400,000 seeds every year. One seed doesn't just become a tree. It becomes a forest.
That's the power God placed in a single seed.
And Psalm 126:5-6 promises you that, "Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them."
The seed you carry is the Word of God. It’s the most powerful seed of all. When you sow it in someone's life, you're guaranteed a harvest. Not maybe or when conditions are perfect. It’s guaranteed. You reap what you sow, but if you sow, you will reap.
The reality is that this life is the only time and place you'll ever get to sow seed. Tomorrow, share one truth from Scripture with someone who needs hope. Text a friend going through difficulty and remind them that God has not forgotten them. That's sowing. One seed and one conversation. Watch what God grows from it.
Since Jesus is your Lord worth knowing and loving, He's a Savior worth sharing.
Prayer: Father, give me eyes to see where You want me to sow Your Word today. Help me overcome my fear and hesitation. Thank You that when I sow Your truth, You promise a harvest. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
