Jesus was given many names to help us understand his character. We can know Him as a counselor when we need wisdom, as a provider when we need strength, and as an eternal father who assures us of what is to come. Only Jesus can give us perfect peace, knowing our eternity is sealed through salvation in Him.

How well do you know the Jesus of Christmas? Isaiah 9:6-7 gives us one of the most amazing descriptions of Who Jesus is in all of Scripture. We serve a God who wants to be on a first-name basis with us. By giving us these “first names” in Isaiah, God invites us to know Jesus one-on-one. This “first name basis” relationship is the amazing and incredible gift we celebrate at Christmas.
