"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45 (NIV)
Ever feel like you're spinning your wheels, busy but not truly making a difference?
The most successful companies in the world are those that find their strategic sweet spot. It’s that unique advantage that sets them apart from every competitor. Apple revolutionizes technology. Amazon dominates delivery. They know their edge and leverage it for maximum impact.
Jesus shows you your sweet spot in Mark 10:45. Even though He deserves to be served as the Son of God, He comes to serve others instead. When Jesus turns water into wine at a wedding celebration, when He feeds thousands with a child's lunch, when He kneels to wash dusty feet, He operates in His sweet spot. Every miracle flows from a servant's heart.
Your sweet spot as His follower? The exact same thing. Serving others means serving Jesus Himself.
This changes how you approach each morning. When your coworker struggles with a project deadline, instead of thinking "That's not my job," you ask, "How can I help?" What if your neighbor's struggling to carry their groceries inside? You don't walk past; you carry bags. When your family needs encouragement after a tough day, you speak life instead of adding complaints.
You discover your deepest joy when you follow Jesus into servanthood. Nothing in this life matters more than giving your life for what lasts forever.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for serving me when I didn't deserve it. Open my eyes to opportunities around me to follow Your example of loving service. Help me see the needs, and may everything I do glorify You. In Your name, Amen.
